Do I need to have any knowledge of English to join the English conversation course?
Those who are not students of CCAA's English courses need to have intermediate knowledge of the language, so they already have a basic vocabulary to develop in class. For students from any of our units across Brazil, English conversation classes can be taken at any point during the course.

What skills will I develop in Conversation Happy Hour?
Conversation Happy Hour is the CCAA's English conversation course designed for teenagers and adults. During the classes, you will enhance your fluency in the language with activities aimed at improving your speaking and listening skills.
How are the classes divided in Conversation Happy Hour?
The English conversation course classes are divided according to the students’ level of knowledge. This way, everyone can practice in a linear manner and advance together in mastering speaking.
What is the class structure for the hybrid English conversation course?
In the hybrid format, the student has the option to choose whether to attend in-person or online live at any time. The online classes will be live and take place on the same days and times as the in-person class. This means the students will have the same teacher and the same group in both settings, ensuring that no student is jeopardized in their learning.
When the online and live option is chosen, students in the hybrid format can opt to attend classes from anywhere, anytime, simply by informing the unit they are linked to and being connected to the internet at the scheduled time.
Where can I watch the live online English conversation classes?
The non-in-person English conversation classes will be held using Zoom Cloud Meetings®. It is provided to CCAA students at no additional cost. This platform was chosen for its ease of use and compatibility with various devices (computer, laptop, tablet, or smartphone, as long as they have a microphone, webcam, and internet access).
What will be the quality of the live online English conversation classes?
Online students will receive guidance from the same teacher, interact with the same classmates, and engage in real-time conversations, just like in the classroom. This ensures the same quality of teaching as the in-person classes.
Will the English conversation classes be recorded?
The English conversation classes will not be recorded. Therefore, online students must be connected at the scheduled days and times for the in-person English conversation classes.
How is student evaluation conducted in Conversation Happy Hour?
In the English conversation course, there are no evaluations. The main goal is to enhance fluency in English naturally and with quality.
What is the learning material for Conversation Happy Hour?
Since the main focus of these classes is speaking practice, there is no learning material for the English conversation course, just access to Zoom Cloud Meetings® for students who choose the hybrid format.
Does the English conversation course offer a certificate?
Conversation Happy Hour is considered an extracurricular activity, so there is no promotion certificate as in regular courses. If necessary, you can request a class attendance declaration with equivalent hours for the English conversation classes.
Do students who choose the hybrid format for English conversation classes have make-up classes?
Yes. Make-up, support, and reinforcement classes are offered free of charge, when necessary, to all in-person and hybrid students. These classes must be scheduled in advance.
Can I take Conversation Happy Hour in the VIP format?
Yes. The English conversation course can be taken in the VIP Classes format. It is ideal for those who want more flexibility to study. Classes can be individual, in pairs, in trios, or in groups of friends/family with the same learning goals.
Can I take the English conversation course in the In-Company format?
Yes. Considering the importance of the English language in the professional world, the conversation course can be offered in the in-company format. It is a course delivered within your company, at the available days and times for your team. We also offer the Business English course, which is entirely focused on improving English for the workplace.
What is the price of the English conversation course?
For students already enrolled at CCAA, the English conversation course is free. For non-students, the price varies depending on the location of the CCAA unit.
What are the hours for the English conversation course?
CCAA has units spread across the country, and the schedules vary. To find out the available days for classes at your city’s location, contact the nearest unit.
Is the English conversation course too long?
No. The CCAA English conversation course has 4 levels, with classes taking place once a week. There are 14 English conversation lessons per level, each lasting 60 minutes.
Does CCAA have English conversation courses abroad? Posso fazer um módulo fora do Brasil?
Yes. CCLS (Cultural Center for Language Studies) is CCAA abroad, with units in Orlando, New Jersey, Houston, and Miami. They offer intensive English courses; semi-intensive English, Spanish and Portuguese courses; immersion programs in English, Spanish and Portuguese; as well as language programs for companies and private lessons.
What is the price of the English conversation course materials?
There are no materials for the Conversation Happy Hour students.
What are the fluency levels at CCAA?
At CCAA, you can progress from the basic level (A1) to the Master level (C2), according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). This criterion is also followed in the English conversation course.
